Ivory board is a single-side coated board with a bright white coated face and an uncoated reverse. It is the standard stock for pharmaceutical and cosmetic cartons, book covers and premium business cards, because it prints sharply on the coated side while remaining easy to glue and fold on the back.

Art card is coated on both sides, so it suits work printed on both faces — presentation folders, tags and double-sided cards. Ivory board's uncoated reverse takes adhesive better, which is why packaging converters prefer it.

Weights and folding

200–250gsm still folds cleanly without creasing. From 300gsm upwards you should score before folding. 350–400gsm is business-card territory.
