Photo paper has a resin-coated (RC) base and a microporous receiving layer that absorbs inkjet dye instantly, producing sharp, water-resistant prints that dry to the touch immediately.

Finishes

Glossy gives the deepest blacks and the widest colour gamut but shows fingerprints. Satin (lustre) resists fingerprints and glare while keeping most of the gloss colour depth — the usual choice for portraits and prints that will be handled. Matte suits fine-art reproduction and prints displayed under strong light.
