Photocopy Paper in Kenya
Photocopy paper is the workhorse of every Kenyan office. Sold in reams of 500 sheets, the standard weights are 70gsm and 80gsm. The 80gsm grades feel more substantial, jam less in high-volume copiers and show less show-through on double-sided printing, which is why most offices standardise on them.
Choosing a brand
Typek and Rotatrim are the most widely used in Nairobi and hold up well in laser printers. Double A and PaperOne are premium options with a brighter white point, better suited to documents that will be presented to clients.
Buying by the box
A box holds five reams. Buying by the box is materially cheaper per sheet and is how most schools, law firms and county offices order.
